I've never imagined this would happen to me. Living a life pampered with love and concern, I seem to have taken my company for granted.
Festivals have never been significant to me since my family does not celebrate them; day out with friends or coop myself up at home for a break, how I spend festive days doesn't matter at all. The day would just pass like any ordinary day. However, this year's Christmas and New Year have become significant because I'm missing my loved ones. Now I realise, the essence of spending festive days is not about carrying out the typical practices, but to spend those precious moments together with the loved ones.
Without my loved ones by my side, would this New Year still pass like any ordinary day?
